I offer both in-person and video visits Monday through Friday. For optimal care, new patients are seen in person.
Eprescribing is available for all prescriptions, including stimulants.
You may choose to receive appointment reminders by text and/or email.
I do not bill insurance, but will give you the information needed to get any out-of-network benefits you may have upon request. The private pay environment ensures the highest level of confidentiality.

FAQ's
May I use my insurance when I see Dr. Beard?
I have a private pay practice. You may request a superbill during your appointment. It will contain the information needed to obtain your out of network benefits. Your insurance company will mail your reimbursement check to you.
What about Medicare?
I am happy to see patients who have Medicare. I am opted out of Medicare which means you will pay out of pocket and not be eligible for reimbursement from Medicare.
How long will I wait to be seen?
Usually, not at all! I value your time and stay on schedule.
Will I always get my full appointment time?
Yes! As long as you check in on time.
Do you prescribe refills?
Yes, refills are provided during appointments depending on what medication is prescribed and your current clinical condition.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Just do so 1 full business day ahead of your appointment time, and there is no charge. Late rescheduling and cancellations are charged as appointments.
May I bring my loved one to my appointment with me?
Yes. I am happy to see your loved one along with you. I will also see you alone for part of your appointment, unless it is a couples therapy appointment.
Will you help me with my custody case?
I do not testify in court or see new patients who are seeking a psychiatrist to testify.
Will you help me get my pet certified as a service animal?
Yes, if are disabled and still unable to function without a service animal after completing a course of therapy focused on the specific issue with me.
Will Dr. Beard help me apply for disability?
No.
